This Privacy Policy explains what Pulse Markets ("Pulse") collects, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Account: your email address and a securely hashed password, plus whether you have confirmed that email address. Email confirmation: when you confirm your address we store a short-lived, single-use code (hashed, never in readable form) that expires within minutes. Your settings: the stocks on your watchlist, your notification-frequency and market-alert preferences. Push registration: if you enable alerts, the push token or subscription your browser or device gives us, which is what lets us deliver a notification to that device. Billing: handled by Stripe (web) or Apple (iOS) — we receive your subscription status, not your card number.
We do not collect your brokerage accounts, trades, holdings, contacts, location, or browsing outside the app. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
To operate your account, confirm your email address, build your personalized feed and watchlist, deliver the alerts you opt into, process your subscription, and keep the Service secure. We send you service email (such as a confirmation code) — we do not send marketing email. The filings shown in Pulse come from public SEC EDGAR data — not from you.
Pulse labels filings automatically — for example an importance tier, a category such as an insider buy or sale, or a detected cluster of related filings — using rule-based heuristics applied to the public filing text. These labels describe the filing, not you: they are not personalized profiles, are not used to make any decision about you, and can be wrong. They are informational only and are not investment advice.
We share data only with the service providers that run Pulse and process it on our behalf under their own terms: our hosting and database provider (which stores your account data), our web host (which serves the site), Stripe (web payments), Apple (iOS payments), and RevenueCat (subscription management, which receives an account identifier — not your card number), our email provider (which receives your address in order to deliver a confirmation code), and the push services that deliver notifications — Apple's Push Notification service for the iOS app, and your browser's push service on the web. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.
We keep your data while your account is active. Email confirmation codes are deleted as soon as they are used or expire. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen — this removes your email, watchlist, preferences, sign-in sessions, and push registrations from our database. If you subscribed on the web, deleting your account also cancels that subscription so you are not billed again; an Apple-billed subscription must be cancelled in your Apple subscription settings.
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time — account deletion from the Profile screen permanently removes it. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
Pulse is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy and will revise the date above. Questions or data requests: daniel@pulsemarketsapp.com.
